  • Our Professional Development Program is much like job training for an actual company and can be compared to an internship. You will learn and exercise team-building, public speaking, interviewing and leadership skills, all in the context of business projects and practices. Although difficult, our program is designed to instill our values of professionalism, leadership, and community in each member.

  • Our recruitment is a series of events over two weeks to allow candidates the opportunity to learn more about the Collegiate Business Association. In turn, it also allows our members to meet interested applicants and speak about their experiences in the organization.

  • Coffee chats are informal 1:1 conversations set up with members of Collegiate Business Association to help you learn a little bit more about us and our community. They are a great way to figure out whether we're the right fit for you, and we would encourage you to sign up if you are interested in joining us!

  • There is no preset image of the ideal candidate as we recognize the different contributions that everyone can make. However, we are still looking for highly motivated scholars that are able to work well both independently and within a group. Potential as well as present qualities are a determining factor in the recruitment process.

  • This number widely varies each semester. Our program class sizes have ranged from as little as 8 to as many as 17. We have no set quota, and we will take anyone who shows potential to excel as a member.

  • Anyone can apply to join us! You do not have to be a business major; Collegiate Business Association has members in majors ranging from Computer Science to Creative Writing. We recognize the universal nature of business, and offer equal opportunity for candidates of all majors. Historically, we tend to accept more freshmen and sophomores than upperclassmen.
